According to the latest Airlines Reporting Corporation’s (ARC) data, air ticket sales by US-based travel agencies reached $9.3 billion in January 2025, marking a 5% increase compared to January 2024. The monthly sales and passenger trip figures were considerably higher than those recorded in December 2024, consistent with the usual seasonal trends.
The total number of passenger trips processed by ARC exceeded 26.7 million, with 16.4 million trips originating from domestic travel within the U.S. and 10.3 million trips from international destinations.
NDC transactions represented 18.4% of the total transactions reported and settled by ARC in January 2025, reflecting a 9% rise from 16.9% in January 2024. In January 2025, a total of 896 travel agencies reported engaging in NDC transactions.
