New uniforms’ striking patterns, vibrant colors, and exceptional design present the essence of Aotearoa to a global audience.

Air New Zealand has unveiled its new uniform collection. This line reflects the airline’s deep pride in Aotearoa and its rich cultural heritage. The striking patterns, vibrant colors, and exceptional design present the essence of Aotearoa to a global audience.

Created by the internationally acclaimed designer Emilia Wickstead, with unique hand-painted prints from tā moko artist Te Rangitu Netana, this uniform signifies the dawn of a new chapter for Air New Zealand. The collection highlights the distinctive qualities of New Zealand, resulting in designs that defy conventional uniformity.

Worn by 6,000 Air New Zealand employees worldwide, the airline’s uniforms have always been integral to its identity. Known for their boldness, creativity, and immediate recognizability, this tradition is upheld by the designs of Emilia and Te Rangitu.

Notable items in the collection include ‘The Fine Print – Dress,’ which exemplifies Emilia’s exceptional craftsmanship with its intricate and significant kōwhai print, and ‘The Collective Thread – Shirt,’ featuring eye-catching purapura whetū patterns, suitable for both cabin crew and ground staff, showcasing the collection’s versatility.

The Ie Faitaga, to be trialed by Pasifika team members, underscores the airline’s dedication to inclusivity. New pilot designs include a striking pinstripe suit with a kiwi feather lining, symbolizing leadership and prestige.
