The action is taken in response to the Tropical Storm Warning issued by the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) concerning the approach of Tropical Storm Ernesto.

The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) warned the public that the Anguilla-St. Maarten Ferry Terminal, situated on the Dutch side of St. Martin, will be temporarily closed at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024. This action is taken in response to the Tropical Storm Warning issued by the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) concerning the approach of Tropical Storm Ernesto.

The foremost priorities of the Anguilla Tourism Board (ATB) are the safety and well-being of the residents, visitors, and staff. Consequently, in consideration of safety and the prevailing weather conditions linked to the Tropical Storm, the ATB has decided to temporarily close the ferry terminal until conditions become more favorable.

The Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (CJLIA) in Anguilla will cease operations starting at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, until further notice. All flights that were scheduled to either depart or arrive after this time have been canceled or rescheduled. Additionally, the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) in Sint Maarten will also close at 10:00 AM on the same day. It is anticipated that normal operations will resume on Wednesday, August 14th, at 7:00 AM. Travelers are encouraged to reach out to their respective airlines for additional flight information.
