American Chamber of Business Goes Blue and Croatian Style

In Croatia, the International Chamber of Blue Economy Commerce (ICBEC) representatives, CEO Mr. Luka Brajkovic and CEO Vedran Horgas, led by Ocean Alliance (OACM) President Mr. Kristijan Curavic and Boris Stankovic, Mladen Begic, met with Ms. Andrea Doko Jelusic, head of the American Chamber of Business (AmCham), to discuss future partnerships.

The focus was on promoting the corporate sector’s Economic, Environmental, and Social Development.

The meeting occurred in the American Chamber of Commerce Office in Zagreb, Croatia.

The agenda for collaboration included collaboration in the SEE, the EU region, and the US market.

OACM has collaborated with US companies based in Europe and South Eastern Europe since 2017 and is expanding its global operations and expansion to the US market to promote sustainable corporate practices with green trade.

OACM has launched the International Chamber of Blue Economy Commerce (ICBEC ) to accelerate long-term financially sustainable trade and ECR practices among the corporate sector and ensure easier access and collaboration with the government sector.

The proposed AmCham-ICBEC collaboration is focused on engaging US companies in implementing new, innovative, and modern Environmental sustainability directives that will ensure them much more cost-effective ECR policies and environmentally oriented corporate communications.

This will ensure better international positioning of member companies or products and effectively align with the global United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the corporate sector. AmCham CEO MS Andrea Doko Jelusic has stated that AmCham’s priority is to strengthen the US Corporate Sector in the Republic of Croatia.

She emphasized the positive increase in newly joined Croatian Companies in AmCham and the importance of multilateral corporate collaboration, which ICBEC globally promotes as aligned with the UN SDG 17 Global Partnership.
