Airbus announced that 86 customers have taken deliveries of 766 commercial aircraft worldwide in 2024. The Commercial Aircraft division recorded a total of 878 gross new orders, resulting in a year-end backlog of 8,658 aircraft.
According to Christian Scherer, CEO of Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, the year 2024 reaffirmed the strong demand for new aircraft.
“We secured significant decisions from our most important customers and experienced remarkable growth in our widebody orderbook, further solidifying our leading position in the single-aisle market. In terms of deliveries, we maintained our momentum and celebrated several significant milestones, including the inaugural delivery of the A321XLR, as well as the first deliveries of the A330neo and A350 to various customers around the globe,” he said.
