Air India, owned by the Tata Group, has officially announced its previous orders for 10 A350 widebody aircraft and 90 single-aisle A320 Family aircraft. Furthermore, the airline has opted for Airbus’ Flight Hour Services-Component (FHS-C) to support its expanding A350 fleet.
This recent aircraft order, which has already been incorporated into Airbus’ 2024 orderbook, adds to the 40 A350 and 210 A320 Family aircraft that Air India ordered in 2023. Consequently, Air India’s total order for Airbus aircraft now amounts to 344, with six A350-900s already delivered.
The FHS-C services package is designed to enhance the performance and reliability of Air India’s increasing A350 fleet. This agreement reinforces Airbus’ status as the leading provider of A350 power-by-the-hour maintenance services globally.
These aircraft and service orders are integral to Air India’s ongoing fleet modernization initiative.
