After Germany Stabbings Continues in the UK

Carnival

A happy Carnival parade in Nottingham turned this world-famous yearly festival bloody with stabbings and assaults in the process.

According to the London Metropolitan Police Service, there were three stabbing incidents, resulting in at least three people being injured during the Notting Hill Carnival on its opening day in London. One of the victims, a 32-year-old woman, is currently in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Also stabbed was a 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, the former of whom was listed in non-life-threatening condition. Police were waiting on the condition of the 24-year-old at the time of the post.

Hundreds of thousands of people came to Notting Hill Carnival today to enjoy a fantastic celebration. Our officers have been on duty working to keep them safe as part of a very carefully planned policing operation,” the police service said. “Regrettably, a minority came to commit crime and engage in violence.”

Nottingham Carnival has been the leading carnival in the world, and it has become a magnet for tourists to participate. Years ago Nottingham Carnival was the highlight of the Carnivals of the Carnivals in Seychelles.

At Nottingham Carnival, 90 individuals were apprehended by the police in various attacks. Among the arrests, ten were for assaulting emergency personnel, 18 for carrying offensive weapons, four for sexual offenses, one for theft, four for robbery, six for assault, one for a public order violation, eight for possessing drugs with the intent to distribute, and 30 for drug possession. Notably, four of the drug-related arrests were specifically for possessing nitrous oxide.
