International Conference on Carbonic Anhydrase in Maastricht
International conferences, such as the International Conference on Carbonic Anhydrase, are a major economic driver for the city of Maastricht. Regardless of income, this kind of events are of great importance for the reputation of the city and the employment in the region. The organization expects 150 participants.

When asked why the organization has chosen for Maastricht Professor Lambin of MAASTRO Clinic answers: “Maastricht was chosen because of its location, historic centre, and hospitable character. The atmosphere and size makes it the ideal city to let the event, where international scientists meet, take place. Grand Hotel de L’Empereur is thereby a charming, inspiring hotel with a high level of service, which also has a perfect location; opposite the Central Station, right in Wyck district which is also called ‘the door of Maastricht”.

The coming of the International Conference on Carbonic Anhydrase means to Maastricht & region:
โ€ข 150 conference participants, which stay in the city with or without a partner;
โ€ข Participants stay at least 3 days (often people come earlier if they stay longer);
โ€ข There are at least 450 hotel stays;
โ€ข Participants spend together approximately โ‚ฌ 165,000 in Maastricht & region.

The conference is sponsored by DualTpharma and the municipality of Maastricht as part of Congress City+.
