This tour operator is now offering tours over the Bardabunga volcano. volcano, that recently erupted in Iceland. At a height of just 150 meters, tourists can get a first hand view of the lava flames. The plane is able to seat four visitors.

There are two flights a day, depending on the weather conditions, with the plane setting off from the capital Reykjavik as well as Myvatn, which is in the north of the country.

Bardarbunga is in the northwest of the huge Vatnajokull glacier. The volcano has a dramatic history; about 8,000 years ago it was the source of the worldโ€™s largest eruption in the past 10,000 years, spewing out lava that covered 950 square kilometers of land. In contrast, the present eruption covers a mere 6.2 square kilometers.
