HELSINKI, Finland – In August, Finnair’s overall capacity increased by 0.2 percent and traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres decreased by 0.3 percent year‐on‐year. Passenger load factor was 84.8 percent.
The capacity in Asian traffic decreased by 3.2 percent and the traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres by 1.0 percent year‐on‐year.
European traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres grew by 10.7 percent and capacity by 12.6 percent year-on-year.
Leisure traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres decreased by 32.1 percent and capacity decreased by 26.3 percent year-on-year.
In cargo, traffic measured in revenue tonne kilometres grew by 0.5 percent and the overall capacity decreased by 6.0 percent year-on-year. The load factor improved by 3.9 percentage points from last year’s level and was 60.5 percent.
In August, 87.6 per cent of scheduled flights arrived on schedule (93.5). Of all traffic, 87.1 per cent (93.1) of flights were on schedule.
