Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment and communications group, today announced the shortlist for the much-anticipated Ai Index Series Awards, taking place at the New York Stock Exchange on September the 22nd during the 7th Africa investor (Ai) CEO Institutional Investment Summit.

Africa investor will host the 2014 Africa investor CEO Institutional Investment Summit and Index Series Awards, to profile African capital market success stories. Launched in 2007, and linked to the Africa investor (Ai) Index Series, the Ai Index Series Awards are the only pan- African Awards designed to recognise Africa’s best performing stock exchanges, pension and sovereign wealth funds, listed companies, investment banks, research teams, regulators, socially responsible companies and fund managers. It is a uniquely African capital markets platform.

Commenting on the 2014 Awards shortlist, Hubert Danso, CEO of Africa investor said; โ€œThis has been another successful year for the Ai40 Investorโ€™s Index. The past 12 months have seen the Index gain more than 8%, which is on a par with the Dow Jones Industrial Averageโ€™s performance over the last year. In addition, Africa investor has launched another seminal index; the Ai Infrastructure Investment Index โ€“ another critical tool for pension funds and other institutional investors allocating to infrastructure as an asset class.โ€

The full shortlist for the Ai Index Series Awards 2014 is below. Africa investor will also announce the winner of the Ai Capital Markets Personality of the Year Award on the day.
