NEW YORK, NY – Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and Chesapeake Lodging today revealed the anticipated October 2014 opening of the Hyatt Herald Square New York. The hotel will be located on West 31st street between 5th avenue and Broadway in the center of Herald Square adjacent to the Garment District.
The hotel’s lobby will be decorated with artwork from local artists and a number of nods to the areas publishing and fashion history. This theme will continue to the guestrooms which are decorated with pops of hot pink and the inclusion of an in-room letterpress block feature, which will include a quote from fashion designer, Coco Chanel. The hotel will have one grand suite located on the 18th floor.
Small Business meeting and events will be catered for in the property’s event space with a capacity for up to 50 people.
Guests will have multiple dining options. The hotel’s coffee bar, Espresso, which will feature Stone Street Coffee Company beans and a range of specialty drinks and pastries. The hotel’s lobby bar, The Den, which will offer a casual bistro menu comprising of seasonal dishes in three sizes – large bites, light bites, and even lighter bites. The bar will also feature a dedicated cocktail menu with seasonally inspired drinks and creatively infused spirits, some of which will be made in-house. The hotel’s rooftop will house the property’s lounge, Up on 20, offering an afterworks drinks space.
