American actor and comedian Robin Williams died on Monday, August 11, California law enforcement officials said.
According to the police, Williams was found dead at his home in the Californian city of Tiburon, Marin County.
The actor was 63 when he passed away. Estimated cause of death – asphyxiation (suffocation). Police launched an investigation.
“Robin Williams passed away this morning. Recently, he struggled with major depression. This is a sudden loss for us. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time,” said the actor’s personal publicist.
