There is reason to stay longer in Agra, the iconic city of the Taj Mahal in India.

There is reason to stay longer in Agra, the iconic city of the Taj Mahal in India.

Agra Walks have been introduced in the Taj city by Suyash Gupta, who happens to be theh son of Sunil Gupta of Travel Bureau, an active travel and tourism industry leader.

Young Suyash Gupta says that the innovative walks enable tourists to see much more of Agra than just the Taj. This in turn is helping the agents and hotels prolong the stays of visitors, a long-pending demand, and an economic need of the city.

Many tourists saw just the Taj before going ahead or returning to Delhi. Suyash says this is changing now as people want to be part of the Agra Walk and see more heritage, as well as historic and interesting things for a more enriching experience in the city of the Taj.

Some brochures have already included the walks in their list of programs, and Suyash plans to be more visible at travel shows to dispel the impression that Agra is just about Taj.

In line with a world-wide trend, walking tours in other cities are also planned.
