KONA, Hawaii – Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu, the first and only AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star resort on Hawai’i Island, announces Chef Fest, part of the Four Seasons Food and Wine Series. A celebration of high-profile dinners, interactive cooking classes and culinary experiences, the series of events will be held at the Resort October 22-25, 2014 and features some of today’s top chefs coming together to cook, teach and entertain in an intimate and relaxed beach setting.

Seamus Mullen (Tertulia, El Colmado โ€“ New York City, The Next Iron Chef, author of Hero Food); Amanda Freitag (The Empire Diner โ€“ New York City, Chopped, Iron Chef America); Marco Canora (Hearth, Terroir, The Next Iron Chef, author of Salt to Taste); Ben Ford (Ford’s Filling Station โ€“ Los Angeles); Aaron Brooks (executive chef, Four Seasons Hotel Miami); and Ned Bell (executive chef, Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver) join Massimo Falsini (executive chef, Four Seasons Resort Hualฤlai) for the celebrations.

Master Sommelier Chuck Furuya and director of mixology Chandra Lucariello from Southern Wine & Spirits will be on hand for wine and cocktail events.

“We’re thrilled to welcome such a talented and celebrated group of chefs to our annual Chef Fest,” says Robert Whitfield, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. “This is the only culinary gathering in which guests have the opportunity to get to know these chefs and to interact with them personally, while enjoying the bounty of ingredients from Hawaii Island โ€“ all while immersed in the Hualalai lifestyle.”

October 22:

5:00 p.m. โ€“ Celebrate Hawaii Marketplace: Join Four Seasons chefs Ned Bell, Aaron Brooks and Massimo Falsini, as they attend action stations, each presenting small plates paired with wine. This reception-style event is a chance to mingle, meet all seven of the visiting chefs at Chef Fest (as well as local farmers) and taste the bounty of Hawaii Island. Hoku Amphitheater $65
