The government organization Tourism Tonga is responsible for marketing Tonga as a tourism destination. The Kingdom of Tonga is an independent country in the Southern Pacific Island. It’s the only Polynesian country ruled by a monarch.

Tourism Tonga has appointed a new marketing manager, Australian Jenny-Lee Stefas.

Tourism Tonga wants to market the Kingdom of Tonga as a global tourism destination.

It is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing Tonga’s destination marketing and development programs.

Jenny-Lee has 20 years of experience in destination development and marketing management roles in tourism. Her great uncle Norman Pyne was the Acting Governor of Ha’apai in 1923.

Jenny-Lee stated “I’m really looking forward to working with the industry to help grow our tourism offering and increase visitation to the Kingdom of Tonga as a year round tourism destination”.

Tourism Tonga also appointed Tupouseini Taumoepeau.

She had worked with Pacific Media in Auckland and media in Nuku’alofa after studying Communication and Pacific Journalism at the Auckland University of Technology.
