LAS VEGAS, NV – For those who dream of space travel, now is the time to leave a mark on this burgeoning industry. World View, a transformative space travel experience, invites designers and fans to create the official emblem to represent its spaceflight passengers known as ‘Voyagers.’

Designers can develop and submit a design that will represent World View’s Voyagers and live on for decades to come. Designs must be uploaded here by June 23. World View encourages creativity but designs should align with and speak to the brand. The grand prize winner will be awarded $500 cash and an all expenses paid trip* for themselves and a guest to the inaugural Voyager Gala, where they’ll have the chance to witness the unveiling of part of the World View space capsule and rub elbows with NASA astronauts, celebrities and leaders from industries all over the world.

Launching its first flights in 2016, World View will have Voyagers floating gracefully to the edge of space, providing a rare opportunity to gaze at Earth below and see the world in a way that only astronauts have. They will board a stylish, fully pressurized space capsule for a gentle ascent to 20 miles above Earth under a high-altitude balloon. Once reaching peak altitude atop 99 percent of the atmosphere, passengers will spend two hours marveling at the Earth in all its glory – suspended against the backdrop of a vast, black and infinite universe. Thanks to in-flight Internet access, Voyagers can share the experience in real-time with loved ones while sipping on a cocktail.

Competition Guidelines

· Designs can, but do not have to, include World View visual branding elements.

· Designs should include text, such as “World View,” “Voyager,” and/or any quotes or phrases that describe the experience a Voyager will receive on board a flight.

· A high-level of creative freedom is encouraged.

· Flexibility is a key requirement, including the need to resize easily. The final version of the design will need to be suitable for high-quality printing and embroidery. World View advises against the use of halftones and gradients.

· Design must be uploaded in a web ready format (JPG, GIF or PNG.)

· Designs may not contain any copyrighted or trademarked elements other than elements owned by the entrant and/or World View.

· The winning design must be submitted in scalable vector graphic format (EPS) and JPG.

From June 24 – July 8, the public is invited to visit http://worldviewexperience.com/leaveyourmark/ to vote on their favorite designs to advance to the semi-final round. Those who vote will be entered in a drawing to receive a t-shirt featuring the winning design. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges including World View CEO Jane Poynter, Director or Flight Crew Operations Mark Kelly, and CTO Taber MacCallum and will be announced July 16.

“Seeing the Earth from space is a profound experience that has the power to change lives and change the world,” said Jane Poynter, CEO of World View. “As we work toward our launch, we hope to garner input and support from the countless millions who believe in our mission. In a small but significant way, this design competition allows space enthusiasts to be a part of World View’s journey and leave their mark on space.”
