The World Youth Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation has announced a new partnership with the Digital Tourism Think Tank.

As experts in digital marketing best practice, the Digital Tourism Think Tank has established itself as an invaluable knowledge resource for the tourism industry, which WYSE Travel Confederation’s network will now be able to capitalize on. In addition, the travel industry as a whole will benefit from WYSE Travel Confederation’s unique insight into the youth and student travel market.

The first joint initiative will be an hour-long webinar on Tuesday, 3 June from 16:00 BST (17:00 CET) which will form the third in WYSE Travel Confederation’s new webinar series, led by industry experts. Entitled ‘Digital Natives – How mobile is transforming the travel industry’, the session will be hosted by Zornitza Yovcheva, Digital Tourism Think Tank’s mobile and user experience consultant, who will reveal current mobile trends and give advice about how to best target the tech-savvy generation of young travelers.

Laura Daly, WYSE Travel Confederation’s Deputy Director, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Digital Tourism Think Tank to keep our members and the wider youth and student travel market up-to-date with the latest trends in the digital arena.

“Never before has the travel world needed to evolve so fast to keep up with new technological trends that are rapidly changing the face of the youth and student travel market – from booking trips, connecting with fellow travelers and keeping friends and family posted about experiences whilst on the move. The campaigns we will be working on together, from events to reports, will help to provide our members with the insight needed to remain ahead of the competition in our dynamic and thriving industry.”

Nick Hall, Managing Director of the Digital Tourism Think Tank, said: “We are thrilled to be working with WYSE Travel Confederation. This is an important partnership that harnesses the incredible insight that they have on the youth travel market with the digital knowledge brought by the Think Tank, to deliver content and expertise to the industry.”

The webinars are free for WYSE Travel Confederation members. For non-members each session costs €75 (approx. £62) per session per person or €250 (approx. £205) per organization for the entire 2014 series. Pre-booking is essential and each webinar will be recorded and shared with attendees as well as WYSE Travel Confederation members.
