LOS ANGELES, California – Green Globe member, the Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle, is pleased to announce the completion of a $1.7 million renovation, featuring 153 refreshed guest rooms, enhanced meeting and event spaces and a new look in the lobby, Lobby Bar and lounge. To celebrate, the hotel will host a sustainably-minded event on Tuesday, April 22 (Earth Day), from 4-8 pm, featuring tastings of Sun Liquorโ€™s eco-friendly and locally-produced spirits.

Guests will also be able to enjoy signature experiences of the hotelโ€™s PanEarthยฎ program: Cocktails for a Cause, in which $4 of each beverage purchased off the designated menu will go towards One Dayโ€™s Wages; and a glassybaby pop-up shop, in which a total of 20 percent of every glassybaby purchase will go towards One Dayโ€™s Wages – a grassroots movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty.

Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle partners with the local glass blowing retailer glassybaby to promote awareness of pediatric cancer and raise money to expedite the search for a cure. Unique pop-up shops, held in the hotelโ€™s Lobby Bar, sell votives and drinking vessels hand blown by the companyโ€™s artisans in their local studio.

During the Earth Day event, tours of the updated spaces will be available, showcasing highlights such as hotel guest roomโ€™s northwest contemporary design with an invigorating new color scheme, and new furniture, carpet and wall coverings throughout the meetings and event spaces. While exploring the new digs, attendees will also be able to try out the Lobby Barโ€™s updated menu with 18 new craft cocktails, featuring both classics and innovative offerings such as the Acai Mohito or the Coming of Sage.

Since opening seven years ago, the Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle has increasingly integrated sustainable practices into its front and back of house operations, and into the community. This upscale property is deeply mindful of its ecological footprint, and in 2012, it was the first hotel in the U.S. to receive Green Globe certification.

Pan Pacific Hotel Seattleโ€™s award-winning PanEarthยฎ sustainability program was created in January 2011 and the resulting benefits have been immense. While setting benchmarks for environmental efforts, the PanEarthยฎ program works closely with both local and internationally focused charitable organizations, contributing to social causes such as hunger relief, community wellness and economic security. The culture created at the Pan Pacific Seattle is one of supporting the local community through fundraising and staff-wide volunteer activities.
