Price comparison site reveals that flight searches to India are on the increase. If this trend continues, India looks set to be one of the strongest emerging destinations for 2014.

Overall flight searches to India have increased by 34% between January 2011 and January 2014. The destinations experiencing the most growth within India were Goa, Amritsar, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Alice Mariscotti-Wyatt editor at www.dealchecker.co.uk comments “It’s is good to see India flourishing as a travel destination. Goa has always been popular with travellers seeking a good value sun and sand destination, but this country has a great deal more to offer. Amritsar is growing in popularity as a city break destination, thanks to its beautiful golden temples and stunning Indian architecture. Ahmedabad also offers a great deal for culture fans, from the Akshardham Temple to the Auto World Vintage car museum and of course a chance to see the home of Mahatma Gandhi. India is a country well worth exploring as more of us are discovering for ourselves.”

Mark Attwell, managing director at www.dealchecker.co.uk added “dealchecker is currently working with a number of travel partners to India, as this destination gathers pace for bookings in 2014 we are keen to speak to others who would like to reach out to our subscribers and travellers in search of great flights and holidays to the region.”
