Boston’s Logan International Airport has announced it will temporary shutdown flights from 8:30 p.m. Thursday and noon on Friday.

This development comes as part of the airport’s plans for the Nor’easter that’s hitting southern New England Thursday and Friday.

Airport officials say the airport will remain open throughout the storm, but no flights will be going in or out of Logan.

Massport, the airport’s managing body, has said travelers should check http://www.massport.com/logan-airport prior to heading to the airport.
