Trinidad and Tobago Tourism announced the launching of a new marketing campaign bringing its online website more useful tourist information as well as keeping it at their finger trips via a mobile app.

Destination Trinidad and Tobago launched its 2017 marketing campaign, Lime365 on February 7, 2017 with all the pomp and flair of a cocktail party – Trinidad and Tobago style.

Lime365 highlights and promotes the destination’s active annual event calendar. In Trinidad and Tobago’s local parlance, to lime (verb) is to hang out or socialize and a lime (noun) is a social event. Lime365 boasts that there is something to do every day in Trinidad and Tobago. Already known as the home of the greatest street party on earth – Carnival, Trinidad and Tobago’s rich multicultural heritage has resulted in activities and celebrations throughout the year. Some of these include Divali – the Hindu Festival of Lights; Christmas – a true Trini Christmas is a must-have experience; Tobago Jazz Festival; Tobago Heritage Festival; Tobago Blue Food Festival; Tobago Goat Race; and several sporting events including cycling, game fishing, sailing regattas and golf tournaments.

A key component of the LIME 365 campaign is the GoTrinBago travel guide. A free interactive destination mobile application, the GoTrinBago app is the ultimate guide to discovering Trinidad and Tobago, and is available in the Google Play Store and on the Apple App Store. The GoTrinBago travel app is 100% offline and allows users to develop a personal itinerary for their trip to Trinidad and Tobago as well as find accommodations, tours and transportation services at their fingertips.

Other notable features include:

– Rate and review experiences, and read other user reviews
– Recommend “new” places to those who share similar interests
– Capture and posts photos of the destination

In the coming months, the Go TrinBago travel app’s features will also include the ability to book tours and accommodation. Visitors searching for adventure, shopping, beaches, birds, festivals, parties and a “good lime” can easily do so 365 days a year in sweet T&T.
