Punta Cana resort achieves esteemed Green Globe certification

In its commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment, Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort frames its policy in some fundamental principles: Waste management, energy and water savings, training of employees and clients about environmental sustainability, preserve and mitigate all the consequences of the development of tourism, both in the environmental and social aspects, and help the sustainable development of the region.

In order to achieve a Green Globe certification, a property’s environmental standards must meet a set of criteria as determined through a strict auditing process. Maintaining the certification requires hotels and resorts to pass another audit in the following year that monitors their compliance with modifications required by Green Globe.
