HOBOKEN, NJ – At least three people were killed and more than a hundred were injured, ‘many critical,’ in New Jersey train crash on Thursday morning.


A New Jersey Transit train crashed through a wall into Hoboken Terminal, severely damaging the station, during the morning rush hour, around 9am.

New Jersey Transit issued the following statement on Hoboken Station train crash:

“At approximately 8:45 a.m., train #1614, a Pascack Valley line departure from Spring Valley operating to Hoboken, struck Hoboken Terminal building on track 5. Initial reports indicate multiple critical injuries. Rail service in/out of Hoboken is suspended due to the incident. HBLR and PATH are also suspended into and out of Hoboken Terminal. NJ TRANSIT bus, private carriers and ferry services are honoring NJT rail tickets and passes.”
