India celebrates World Tourism Day with special-needs children


The North Regional Tourism office of India tourism in New Delhi celebrated World Tourism Day today, September 27, in a unique way. It invited children with special abilities for a tour of Delhi monuments, with a focus on making tourism accessible for all – the theme of World Tourism Day this year.

India’s Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma and Regional Director North Arun Srivastava were among those who welcomed the tourists at the office and presented them with gifts. The students with special abilities saw places like Red Fort, President House, and Qutab Minar during the tour.
