It’s a popular campus bar, and the University of Illinois has students from all over the world. Some of them may be dead tonight.
More violence occurred in the US state of Massachusetts. Six people have been stabbed in an attack on Tremont Street in Boston’s theater district early Sunday, local media said. Police told media one suspect is still at large, while they may have apprehended a second one.
One victim was critically injured and is in emergency surgery, according to the Boston Globe.

Tonight several shots have been fired on Green Street between Third and Fourth streets, the Daily Illini reported, citing an Illini Alert sent out on Sunday morning. In the event of a campus emergency, Illini-Alert sends email and text messages, posts to Facebook and Twitter and triggers the Emergency Web Alert System for University websites.
The University alert system currently states: It appears the shooter has left the area. Continue to avoid Green street from 2nd to 4th and 2nd street from Green to Healey. Want more ways to be notified by Illini-Alert?
Local police, however, provided no details on the gunfire at this point, adding that the incident is being investigated.
Social media users say up to nine people were shot, all now hospitalized. Other unconfirmed reports claim up to two people were killed.
There has been no official confirmation on the number of victims so far.
The shooting took place outside a local post office and about one block away from ‘The Red Lion’, a popular campus bar.
