MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – The Ministry of Tourism, its agencies and industry partners will officially mark the start of Tourism Awareness Week 2016 with a Thanksgiving Service at the Trumpet Call Ministries International.


The week is being observed under the theme โ€œTourism for All: Promoting Universal Accessibilityโ€ which is consistent with the theme selected by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for World Tourism Day globally.

This year the week is being observed from September 25 to October 1.

In observing Tourism Awareness Week, the Ministry and its agencies will seek to further raise awareness about the role Jamaica is playing in promoting responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism.

Jamaica’s Tourism Ministry will kick-start Tourism Awareness Week 2016 with Thanksgiving Church Service.
