LONDON, UK – Inspirock’s founders announced today that they have integrated their online trip planner on to the International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT’s) new website, Travelers for Peace, free of charge, providing support to the IIPT’s Travel Ambassadors of Peace campaign. Inspirock has also confirmed that the company will donate revenue from bookings generated by the trip planner on the new site to the IIPT to help fund the organization’s valuable work which promotes peace through tourism.

The announcement coincides with the UN’s World Tourism Day on September 27, which shares the same objectives.

Inspirock’s online trip planner is the most comprehensive on the market today offering inspiration to see the planet covering over 38,000 destinations. It is, therefore, perfectly placed to help travelers get off the beaten track, discover more of the world in which they live and learn about different societies, their ways of life and their values.

Louis D’Amore, Founder and President of IIPT, met Prakash Sikchi, Inspirock’s CEO and one of its founders, in 2015, and Prakash was immediately drawn to the IIPT’s cause to promote peace through tourism. Both sensed a common mission that has become all the more important as 2016 has unfolded and many people are looking for a way to embrace the diversity afforded by travel in order to make their own personal stand against intolerance.

Louis D’Amore, explains: “IIPT was born in 1986 with a vision of travel and tourism becoming the world’s first global peace industry, an industry that supports the belief that ‘every traveler is potentially an Ambassador for Peace.’ There will be more than 1.3 billion international arrivals in 2017 – the UN International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. Each of these travelers is potentially an ‘Ambassador for Peace’ in our troubled world. IIPT is honored to have Skal International as a partner in the campaign together with Inspirock, the Crist Consulting Group and International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP), we welcome all sectors of the travel and tourism industry to join us in our ‘Travel for Peace’ campaign.”

“Offering Inspirock’s trip planner to the International Institute of Peace Through Tourism felt like a very natural thing to do and very much aligned with our own company’s philosophy and objectives,” comments Prakash Sikchi, CEO, Inspirock. “As a result of our work, the new site offers visitors a comprehensive resource that enables them to create personalized itineraries that span cities, states and continents. This provides the potential to take travelers off the beaten track, discover some truly remarkable sites around the world and really engage with local culture and communities in the way promoted and encouraged by the IIPT.”

Companies interested in signing up as members should email Louis D’Amore. Charter memberships are available for US$350 and Individual members can join for US$50.

Inspirock’s mission is to inspire people to see the planet by helping them plan great vacations. At inspirock.com, anyone can build a plan for their holiday. It is based on a vision of the world’s largest industry, travel and tourism – becoming the world’s first global peace industry; and the belief that every traveler is potentially an “Ambassador for Peace.
