SHENYANG, China – As part of its mission of connecting the world by offering flights to a wide range of destinations, Capital Airlines will officially launch its Shenyang-Qingdao-Melbourne route, operating three times a week, on September 29th, rolling out the carpet for travelers in both hemispheres to discover the other side of the world.

Deploying an Airbus A330 aircraft, Capital Airlines will provide travelers with a comfortable journey to the other hemisphere, allowing those flying south with the opportunity of sharing the spring season with kangaroos in Australia’s Garden State of Victoria.

The airline will launch services from several Chinese cities to Melbourne with transfer in Qingdao for trips from Taiyuan, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Changsha, Xi’an and Nanjing to Melbourne and trips from Tianjin, Urumqi, Hohhot, Haikou, Wenzhou, Dalian and Harbin to Melbourne.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, JD461 departs Shenyang at 3:25pm, lands in Qingdao at 4:55pm, then departs Qingdao at 6:55pm and arrives at Melbourne at 8:25am (local DST+1) the next day.

For the return journey, JD462 operates on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, leaving Melbourne at 10:25am (local DST+1), landing in Qingdao at 8:05pm, and then departing Qingdao at 10:05pm with arrival in Shenyang at 11:35pm.

With the Australian spring starting in September, Capital Airlines will offer an opportunity for passengers from across China to directly fly from Qingdao to Melbourne
