MEXICO CITY, Mexico – Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V., the largest global airline in Mexico, reports operating statistics for August 2013.

Grupo Aeromexico’s demand in August 2013 increased 8.7% year-on-year; the most significant monthly increase reported since February 2012. The total number of passengers transported increased by 7.5% year-on-year, reaching a total of one million 389 thousand passengers during August 2013. Aeromexico’s capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), increased 3.3% year-on-year. The August load factor was therefore 79.4%; a four percentage point increase, year-on-year.

Year to date, Aeromexico has reached 90.1% on-time departure; a 12 percentage point improvement, year-on-year.
