Police searching a plane at Queenstown Airport in New Zealand say they have found no sign of any explosives after a note mentioning a bomb was found onboard.
Queenstown Airport is located in Frankton, Otago, New Zealand, and serves the resort town of Queenstown. The airport is 8 km or a 10-minute drive from the Queenstown CBD.
The airport was evacuated after a cleaner found the message on the Qantas flight just before 3pm. No passengers were on board at the time.
The airport has since re-opened and normal operations will resume.
