TOKYO, Japan – Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo (KPH)located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will begin renovation of 11 suite rooms and 100 club rooms. At the same time, a special Club Lounge will be opened on the upper level 45th floor of the main tower and begin operating from December, 2016. Special attention will be paid to making significant upgrades to amenities and facilities to make guest experiences at our hotel more comfortable and enjoyable. A total of JPY 2.5 billion will be spent on these renovations.

A total of 111 guest rooms located on the 37th to 41st floors of our hotel will be renovated, along with the construction of a special club floor and Club Lounge on the uppermost level of the main tower building. The renovations will include construction of guest rooms that have high quality facilities to provide our guests with relaxing atmosphere within the setting of the hustle and bustle of the surrounding city. The Club Lounge, to be opened on the 45th floor of the main tower building, will offer the ability for guests to check in and check out, and provide them with breakfast and light daytime meals and snacks, in addition to various cocktails and beverages. In addition, our dedicated concierge will support guests extensively with their warmest hospitality, providing a wide range of other support services for hotel guests.

The Keio Plaza Hotel has aggressively conducted renovations every year based upon our goal of constantly improving our customer experiences. The 47th floor banquet rooms were renovated in September 2015 with special facility adaptations made to accommodate meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE). Also, renovations of 450 guest rooms in the south tower started in March 2013 have been completed, and the new facilities have been favorably received by guests. Because this year marks the 45th anniversary of operations, suite rooms on the upper floors will be fully renovated with a view to the upcoming Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics to be held in 2020, the 50th year anniversary of the Keio Plaza Hotel in 2021 and beyond.
