MEXICO CITY, Mexico – The American Automobile Association (AAA) has once again awarded three RIU Hotels & Resorts in Mexico with the highly-coveted Four Diamond accolade. The award has gone to two vacation focused hotels located on the Mexican coast: the Riu Palace Pacifico on the Nayarit Riviera, and the Riu Palace Mexico on the Mayan Riviera; as well as the Riu Plaza Guadalajara, located in the capital of Jalisco State and part of Riu Plaza’s urban category of properties.
Attaining the “Four Diamond” grade represents one of the biggest achievements in the tourism industry. To elect the winners, AAA analysts assess more establishments than any other organisation in the world. In 2014 and 2015 the three hotels were granted the award and this year they have also received it. The RIU leisure hotels that have been awarded this distinction, the Riu Palace Pacifico and the Riu Palace Mexico, belong to the chain’s most luxurious, sophisticated category: the Riu Palace. These resorts are characterized by being located on the world’s finest beaches and offer an international range of dining and beverages, have a distinctive architecture and interior decoration, a distinguished gastronomic wealth as well as a full range of entertainment and leisure activities, sport and spa.
