EgyptAir flight MS804: Cockpit recorder found


It was reported yesterday that wreckage from the EgyptAir flight MS804 had been found in the Mediterranean Sea, and the black box has been recovered.

The cockpit voice recorder was damaged but its memory is intact. The box had to be pulled out in stages. The black box is on its way to the Egyptian city of Alexandria where it will be studied for information.

An underwater water robot has been going through the crash site in the sea and sending images back to the search team.

Flight MS804 from Paris to Cairo on May 19 killed all 66 people that were on board.
