Shots fired at a concert in New York close to Union Square at Irving Plaza


One killed so far. A famous venue among tourists and locals is Irving Plaza in Manhattan, New York. Tonight, music group T.I. was giving a concert when gunshots were fired. Irving Plaza is close to a busy neighborhood close to New York’s Union Square.

Tonight at around 10 pm a shooting at a concert left one person dead and at least 3 people wounded. This is according to a tweet posted by the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Tweets say security at the concert should be sued for letting this tragedy happen.

T.I. was just about to take the stage when the shooting occurred. The concert hall is now a crime scene.

According to records found on the Internet, Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., better known by his stage names T.I. and Tip, is an American hip hop recording artist and actor from Atlanta, Georgia. He signed his first major label record deal in 1999, with Arista Records subsidiary, LaFace Records.
