Quincy, MA, and Toronto, ON โ€“ Icelandair and Porter Airlines have signed an interline agreement that will benefit passengers connecting between North America and more than 20 Icelandair destinations throughout Europe.

Effective immediately, passengers can book a single combined e-ticket for Porter Airlines and Icelandair flights, including the convenience of checking baggage through to the final destination. Connections from more than 10 Canadian gateways are now available between airlines in Halifax, Boston, Washington-Dulles and New York-Newark.

โ€œCanada is a growing market for Icelandair with many exciting opportunities on the horizon. The agreement with Porter Airlines will allow us to offer our passengers even more connections and flexibility throughout Canada,โ€ said Thorsteinn Egilsson, Icelandair General Manager โ€“ The Americas.

Earlier this year, Icelandair expanded its seasonal service from Toronto-Pearson to a year-round operation with plans to increase capacity next summer. Icelandair also resumed seasonal service from Halifax with up to three flights a week.

โ€œThis is Porterโ€™s first interline agreement providing access to Europe,โ€ said Michael Deluce, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines. โ€œIcelandair has numerous gateways within our network that passengers can fly from.โ€
