Low-cost Korean airline expanding


HONG KONG – An interline agreement will allow a low-cost Korean airline to combine desired routes with its existing network and develop seamless travel packages for its customers.

Korean low-cost carrier, Jin Air, signed an interline agreement on the April 5, 2016 with Jetstar Group, one of Asia Pacific’s largest low-cost carriers in comprising Jetstar Airways, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan and Jetstar Pacific. Both Jin Air and Jetstar Group will begin preparation works such as conducting system interlocks, with the interline service expected to launch in the third-quarter of this year.

Jin Air will have connection options available on more than 150 routes served by Jetstar Group’s branded airlines across its dense network. Following this collaboration, Jin Air will continue to explore further interline cooperation with other airlines and work on increasing connecting routes with Jetstar Group.
