Greyhound bus station in Virginia under attack


According to local media reports, Richmond police are responding to an active shooter situation at the Greyhound station on North Boulevard.

Multiple ambulances have been called to the scene.

The Greyhound station is directly across the street from The Diamond. That area on North Boulevard is closed to traffic, and police are directing traffic.

Sources have told two local TV stations that the number of injured in a Richmond, Va., bus station shooting could be increased to six. This has not been confirmed and it’s unclear if the counts include the suspect, who was also reportedly shot. – Jillian

We can confirm that there was an incident at the Greyhound Richmond station this afternoon. We are fully cooperating with the authorities and providing any information they may need, including video surveillance that was captured.

We’re unable to confirm the number of injuries at this time. However, no employees were injured.

Our station has been evacuated and we are offering counselors to not only assist our employees, but customers that were at the station as well.

We are re-routing inbound schedules to our Richmond garage location until further notice.
