WASHINGTON, DC – Delta is stepping up to the plate in Washington with a new five-year sponsorship agreement to be the Official Airline and Official Private Jet Carrier of the Washington Nationals.

“As a proud supporter of America’s pastime, Delta is excited to welcome the Washington Nationals to the roster of MLB teams we sponsor across the country,” said Tim Mapes, Delta’s Senior Vice President โ€“ Marketing. “We can’t wait to connect with the passionate fans at Nationals Park, and we share in their enthusiasm for a great season ahead.”

Under Delta’s new agreement with the Nationals, the airline will fly the team to and from every away game. Delta’s signature presence at the park will also include sponsorship of the Delta Sky360 Club, a branded hospitality experience within Nationals Park and premium section of branded seating behind home plate; and permanent signage on the outfield wall, as well as home-plate, baseline rotational, out-of-town scoreboard and LED signage.

“The Washington Nationals are thrilled to welcome Delta to our family of partners as our official airline,” said Valerie Camillo, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer of the Washington Nationals. “As we partner together to transform the former President’s Club into the Delta Sky360 Club, we are confident Delta will help enhance what is already the premier luxury sports experience in Washington, D.C.”

With the addition of the Washington Nationals, Delta now sponsors nearly half of Major League Baseball’s 30 teams, more than any other airline. Delta recently renewed its long-term partnerships with the New York Mets and the New York Yankees, extending the airline’s sponsorships with both teams through 2023. Delta also serves as the official airline of the Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers, and Minnesota Twins; the airline also operates team charters for the Braves, Twins, Yankees and Mets, as well as for the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays.

Delta and the Washington Nationals will celebrate their new partnership over the course of the season’s upcoming opening week. The team’s popular mascots, the Racing Presidents, will appear at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on April 4
