As Barack Obama gets ready to become the first sitting US President to visit Cuba in 88 years, the US has further opened traveling options to the island nation.
Americans can now legally travel to Cuba if they fill out a form that declares their trip is for educational purposes rather than tourism. The Obama administration refers to this kind of travel as people-to-people trips.
Airlines are chomping at the bit, hoping to fill flights to Cuba, and it is anticipated that this new travel option will boost that endeavor.
US President Obama will visit Havana in less than a week, from March 21-22.
