Running for the spirit of India

INDIA (eTN) – The Spirit of India Run will be welcomed in Delhi on March 13. marathon runner, Pat Farmer from Australia, is covering 4,600 kms in 65 days, running about 70 kms a day.

INDIA (eTN) – The Spirit of India Run will be welcomed in Delhi on March 13. marathon runner, Pat Farmer from Australia, is covering 4,600 kms in 65 days, running about 70 kms a day.

He is running from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, having started on January 26, 2016. Arun Srivastava, Regional Director, North, Indiatourism, received Pat in Udaipur.

The run is backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of External Affairs, several state government agencies, and travel associations.

Farmer raises charity money through his runs. The Spirit of India is to promote India-Australia ties and focus on education for girl children.

Arun Srivastava said that the veteran runner was welcomed everywhere he went.
