“Today, we see two more Seychellois being promoted to senior management positions at the Sainte Anne Resort and Spa,” said Alain St.Ange, Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, as he commented on recent appointments made at one of the islands’ resorts.

Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort and Spa moved this week to promote two more Seychellois into senior management positions. The announcements for the promotion of Marie Denise Denis to the position of Reservations & Front Office Manager and Ayub Thomas Appoo as Commercial Executive was made by Norbert Couvreur, the General Manager of the Sainte Anne Resort and Spa, and Gilbert Espitalier-Noel, the CEO of the Beachcomber Hotels, at a general staff gathering in the resort’s Mont Fleuri Restaurant. Also present at the meeting was Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture; Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the island’s Tourism Board; Francois Venin, the Commercial Director for Beachcomber Hotels; and Cello Masson, the company’s Financial Director.

Speaking to the Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort and Spa staff, Norbert Couvreur, the General Manager of the resort, said that the promotions of Marie Denise Denis and Ayub Thomas Appoo was the result of their hard work and their dedication to the resort. Mr. Couvreur also spoke about the successes of the resort and explained the vision in place by the company in their drive to ensure that their Sainte Anne property continues to perform for Seychelles and for the Beachcomber Group. “I thank all the staff for their continued support and hard work,” said Mr. Couvreur.

On his part, Gilbert Espitalier-Noel, the CEO of the Beachcomber Group, spoke about the company’s commitment to their staff and to their hotel in Seychelles. “This is my second visit to Sainte Anne since I was appointed CEO of the company, and I want to assure you all that I appreciate the work that has been done to make our resort in Seychelles so successful,” said Mr. Espitalier-Noel as he invited Minister St.Ange to address the gathered staff members.

“As we say congratulations to Marie Denise Denis and Ayub Thomas Appoo on their promotions, we also say to the Beachcomber, well done. Your buildings cannot and will not be a resort if you do not have dedicated staff, because they remain your greatest asset. Caring for them and ensuring they see opportunities for them to grow is so important. The government of Seychelles will continue to work with and encourage hotels who open doors for our work force,” said Minister Alain St.Ange when he addressed the staff at the Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort and Spa at the meeting that saw the announcement of two Seychellois being promoted to senior management positions at the resort.
