Seychelles welcomes Chinese passengers from Ethiopian Airlines charter

Passengers from a charter Ethiopian Airlines flight from China were welcomed at the airport arrival by traditional dancers; invited guests of Mr. Zhang Xiangyang; charge d’affairs of the Chinese embassy in Seychelles; and Mr. Ng Ping Cheun Charrlie, leader of Chinese community association in Seychelles.

Ethiopian Airlines has successfully concluded the welcoming ceremony of the special flight operated to Seychelles just a day before the Chinese New Year. This is the second year in which Ethiopian brought such flights to Seychelles.

Mrs. Meseret, Area Manager Seychelles added: “We are continuously working hard to provide convenient and memorable travel for our Chinese customers. This year, the cabin was attended by our Chinese cabin crew and the transit hub by our Chinese airport staff in an effort to create the feeling of home during transit and inflight. We always do our best to give our special touch for this special season.”

All passengers were presented fresh flower garlands and red color packets containing 10 SCR notes which is a well-observed custom in Chinese New Year hoped to bring more happiness and blessing to the receivers.

Ethiopian Airlines is proud to serve the Seychelles from four destinations in China, becoming the sixth-largest source of inbound tourism in the country, with almost 14,000 visitors coming this year alone. Ethiopian is contributing to a rise of visitors to the island by bringing larger numbers of leisure travelers to the unique and paradise Island of the Seychelles.

Ethiopian Airlines Area manager of Seychelles commended the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), Seychelles Tourism Board, and invited guests who made all the contributions for the success of this special event.
