TEMPE, Ariz. – US Airways commends the Transportation Security Administration for expanding TSA PreCheck™ to international itineraries. The airline’s eligible customers may now receive TSA PreCheck™’s expedited screening benefits at its dedicated security lanes, which could include no longer removing shoes, light outerwear and belts, or laptop and 3-1-1 compliant bag from carry-on bags, during the domestic portion of their international trip.

“US Airways supports the TSA’s risk-based approach to improving security for travelers with programs such as TSA PreCheck™. We applaud Administrator Pistole and his team on expanding TSA PreCheck™ to international itineraries,” said Paul Morell, US Airways’ vice president, Safety, Security & Environmental Programs. “The program is currently available at 27 U.S. airports for US Airways customers and now our frequent international travelers may be eligible for expedited screening when departing the United States.”

TSA launched the expedited screening program for US Airways customers at Washington, D.C.’s Reagan National Airport in June 2012. To learn more about TSA PreCheck™ visit www.tsa.gov/tsaprecheck.
