NEW ORLEANS, LA – The New Orleans Fire Department is battling a six-alarm fire near the Roosevelt Hotel on Canal street in Downtown New Orleans. 31 units with 90 firefighters and personnel are at the scene working to get the raging blaze under control.
There is no information on what may have caused the fire yet. The officials say that area will be blocked off at least for a few more hours and possibly the rest of the day.
