The Telegraph Travel Show was co-located with the Telegraph Cruise Show and the and The London Boat Show permitting visitors access to all the 3 shows on one ticket, giving the Telegraph Travel Show access to a new core market of affluent visitors. The Telegraph Travel Show 2016 focuses on 4 core areas namely: Luxury Travel, Cruise Market, Consumer Travel, as well as Activity & Adventure, targeting the affluent AB, ABC1 consumers.
The Seychelles Tourism Board in London started the New Year with its attendance at inaugural event of the Telegraph Show held at the London Excel from January 8-10, 2016 in partnership with Turquoise Holidays.
The Seychelles Tourism Board’s Office in the UK was represented by Tinaz Wadia and Eloise Vidot and Turquoise Holidays with Hannah Gelder and Willa Hustler. Lizzie Heeley, Marketing Manager at Turquoise Holidays, said: “We were delighted to partner the Seychelles Tourism Board at this year’s Telegraph Travel Show. The Genius Bar provided the opportunity for the consumers to have one to one chat with the best travel experts, whilst the Destinations Theatre provided a line-up of celebrity travelers, film makers, explorers, and travel experts by giving presentations on various subjects with detailed insights and personal experiences.
Ms. Wadia said: “Considering it was the first time the show was being held in conjunction with the London Boat Show and the Cruise Show there was a good capture of affluent audience. Consumers visiting the Seychelles stand were seeking various types of holidays ranging from cruise, adventure and honeymoons. There was a diversity of travel companies in attendance with some offering holidays to the Seychelles. The Telegraph Show was a good forum for the Seychelles to participate considering it is one of the UK’s no one titles for travel. The UK market experienced an encouraging 32% increase to the destination in 2015 and secured the no 5 position for visitor arrivals to the Seychelles.”

It is anticipated that this show will become the largest consumer travel show in the UK built on the success of The Telegraphs Travel portfolio.
