Republic Airways asks public for help in locating missing flight attendant


INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Republic Airways is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Sierra Shields, a Flight Attendant who has not been seen or heard from since midday on Thursday, January 14, at LaGuardia Airport in New York.

“We are all concerned about Sierra,” said Matt Koscal, Republic’s Vice President of Human Resources. “We’re asking the public to keep an eye out for Sierra and to contact law enforcement if they have any information that can help locate her.”

The New York Police Department describes Sierra as 30 years old, 5’7”, 160 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, medium build and medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a navy blue Flight Attendant’s uniform.

Anyone with information regarding Sierra is asked to contact 911, the New York Police Department’s 114th Precinct at (718) 626-9311 or the NYPD Tip Line at (800) 577-8477. Sierra’s family and friends have established a Facebook page – “Find Sierra Shields” – and are using the hashtag #FindSierraNYC to assist with the search.
