LOS ANGELES, California – Time Oak Hotel & Suites in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been certified by Green Globe. The mission of TIME Hotels is to create a better and โ€œgreenerโ€ place for us and future generations to come. TIME Hotels recognizes the importance of sustainable tourism, and over the past few years, policies and initiatives aiming to reduce the environmental impact have been adopted.

โ€œWe are extremely proud to earn the renowned Green Globe Certification,โ€ said Mr. Mohamed Awadalla, Vice President at TIME Hotels. โ€œTIME Hotels will continue applying and adapting values that include efficient and comprehensive waste and recycling management, and increased use of green technologies in everyday practices. We support our local community in their economic development and educate our team, guests, and the community about energy-efficient and climate-neutral options. All this is done while constantly improving our standards of service through energy-efficient practices, minimizing our impact on the environment and local culture. We understand the importance of ecotourism and it will always play a strong part in our development and management strategy. Our goal is to create a more enjoyable experience for our guests, providing them with best possible service in a sustainable environment.โ€

Time Oak Hotel & Suites fully integrated a long-term sustainability management system; several energy and water conservation devices are installed throughout the property. Guests are encouraged to support a carbon-neutral stay; cleaning of bed linen and bathrooms are provided on request, or every two days; refill amenities (shampoo, shower gel) are being used. Cultural awareness is promoted among guests and employees, and the property organizes visits to heritage sites, such as the Al Farooq Mosque in Jumeirah, on a regular basis.

The property actively supports the community and participates in charitable events, such as the Breast Cancer Awareness Marathon, the Diabetes Fun Run Walkathon, or hosting the Al Noor Fun Day to benefit children with special needs. The entire staff volunteered at the recent Can Collection Day, organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).

At a regional level, the โ€œDubai Green Economy Partnershipโ€ program empowered Dubaiโ€™s position as a hub of sustainable business. The adoption of green technologies and best practices in environmental protection across key sectors from energy and transportation to buildings and resource management has proven economic and ecological feasibility in the area.

The audit for Time Oak Hotel & Suites Dubai was conducted by Farnek Avireal, lead sustainability consultancy in the MENA region. For additional information, please contact Sandrine Le Biavant, e-mail: [email protected] .
