JAL renews its overseas homepage

Japan Airlines (JAL) renewed its overseas homepage http://www.jal.com/ on March 28, 2013 to reflect customer needs to improve usability.

Japan Airlines (JAL) renewed its overseas homepage http://www.jal.com/ on March 28, 2013 to reflect customer needs to improve usability.

In line with the homepage used in Japan http://www.jal.co.jp/, JAL’s overseas websites which is being served in 26 countries and regions, served in 11 different languages*1 have been reconstructed to provide customers with more information that is now easier to locate with better usability.

*1 Japanese, English French, German, Italian, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese (Hong Kong), traditional Chinese (Taiwan) and Thai. Spanish and Russian is mix language site with English. JAL’s Korean website will be refreshed at a later date.

In creating an overall larger layout with bigger font size for easy-reading, a new site index has been added at the bottom of the page for better navigation around the website. Customers can now easily stay updated with the latest JAL news and see attractive promotions highlighted on a clickable banner that will allow the customer to access the campaign.

The Reservations and Purchasing flow for tickets had been renewed also in this fiscal year, and the customers are now able to purchase tickets online up to midnight of the day before or 6 hours before departure whichever is the earlier time.*2

Web Check-in (QuiC) original service which was only in Japanese and English language, is now provided in the multilingual service from February 2013.

JAL with the aim to develop new and easy to use homepage, we will continue to make earnest efforts in improving services with more convenience that can meet customers’ high expectations.
