JetBlue expands service to San Francisco with added flights from Fort Lauderdale and Austin

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – JetBlue Airways announced today plans to add a second daily nonstop flight between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), as well as a second daily summer seasonal flight to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), effective May 21, 2013.

JetBlue’s new service comes on the heels of recent increased coast-to-coast flights, including:

A second daily flight between Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles (LAX), which took to the skies on January 7, 2013

A second daily flight between Boston’s Logan (BOS) and San Diego International Airport (SAN) starting May 1, 2013

A third flight between Boston and Seattle (SEA) starting May 16, 2013

“We’re pleased to give customers more options to enjoy the JetBlue Experience with double the service from San Francisco to Austin and Fort Lauderdale,” said JetBlue’s Vice President Network Planning and Partnerships Scott Laurence. “With first checked bag free, lots of room to stretch out, and the best service in the skies, we’re confident that customers will love flying with us for the long haul.”

JetBlue’s flights between San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale as well as Austin will be operated with its comfortable Airbus A320 fleet.
